With respect to other faiths, please join me as I pray according to my faith. Heavenly Father, Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, Ruler of the Nations, Thank you for entrusting to each of us the responsibility to represent the needs of all the people within our districts in Alaska. Thank you for assembling within this Chamber the intellectual power, the skills, the experiences, the visions, the hopes, and the desires represented within each of us. Add to our knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, so that we may truly accomplish what is good, to meet the needs of people in the proper manner. Give us strength to judge fairly between what looks politically good and what is truly just and necessary so that we may long endure in this great land. 2014-04-09 House Journal Page 2294 We ask that you grant Alaska peace and prosperity, the ability for each person to enjoy the rewards of his or her own industry; that each person would have such an opportunity because you grant us proper access to our land and resources, and connectivity among our many scattered communities so that we can enjoy commerce and have a vibrant, diverse economy, and stand tall among states and nations. We ask that you might give humble hearts, godly council, and bless all our leaders, from the President, Congress, and courts, to the governor, our mayors, assemblies, and councils, to us here in this Chamber.
