With deepest respect for all beliefs, I invite you to a time of prayer and reflection. Gracious God and Father of Us All: Thank you for the honored and heavy responsibility entrusted to us as leaders of Alaska. As we remember our families, we also pray for the forgotten without supportive loved ones: those who daily search for food to satisfy the gnawing hunger; those who are tormented by the inner demons from the horrors of war; those who nightly seek a place to sleep, even under bridges. As we seek to provide wise leadership, give us that integrity that enables us to hear your still small voice within and the courage to heed it that we might be good stewards for all the people of this great state. 2013-03-26 House Journal Page 0654 This I pray in the Name of the One who came not to be served but to serve, Jesus the Christ. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Gruenberg.
