In deepest respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I offer the following prayer. O God, you are loving and gracious and always ready to listen, and so with confidence I pray today for our Alaskan legislators. Give them light and wisdom to guide them in the decisions they make for all Alaskans. Help them to keep in mind the most vulnerable among us as they ponder their decisions. 2013-03-11 House Journal Page 0478 Bless these legislators who have been chosen to be leaders in our community and therefore to make a difference in our lives. Thank you for the ways you have gifted each of them. As they share their gifts with one another, give them the desire to work together through both challenging and rewarding times, focusing always on the good of the whole community of Alaska. As they listen to the concerns of the people, give them open minds and hearts. Keep them uplifted when they hear harsh words and negative criticism. Give them a true sense of judgment when they are faced with tough decisions and continue to bless them each day. I ask this of you, O God, who desires only the best for each of us. Amen.
