With the greatest respect for all beliefs, I offer the following prayer. Dear Lord, who made this beautiful land that we call Alaska, help provide guidance to us public servants to do our best to preserve what you have created for us all. Teach us to be open-minded to others' points of view so we may find the best solutions to our problems. Make us better listeners so we may understand each other better and therefore serve our constituents better. Help us to keep our hearts open to all people from all walks of life so we may not judge anyone because we have heard your word when you said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!" Help us to find our way through the great maze that we know as our modern world so 2011-04-26 House Journal Page 1150 we may reach the promised land that you have awaiting all of us.
