The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator McGuire. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. As we enter the final days of the 26th Alaska Legislature, wrestle with the great issues of our day, and are faced with many important decisions, I pray for your blessing over the members of this body, for all those who generously give of themselves to assist us in the important work before us, and for all our fellow Alaskans. I pray for our support staff that often go unseen, many who have relocated here to support, encourage and work with the members of this body. We acknowledge and appreciate their sacrifice as they have left their family and friends to meet the challenges and tasks here in Juneau head on. Heavenly Father, I pray and ask for your wisdom and guidance as we pursue peace, justice and prosperity for this great land with which you have entrusted us. Let us demonstrate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and faithfulness as we proceed in these final days of the session. I pray and ask all these things in your name. Amen. 2010-04-07 Senate Journal Page 2158 Senator Dyson led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
