May its light break into our preoccupations, that we may be delighted by it, and be renewed and strengthened for the work before us. We pray this day for this body, this Senate. Fill it with all truth and peace. Where it is right, strengthen it. Where it is amiss, direct it. Where it is in need, provide for it. Where it is divided, reunite it.
