Senator Bunde was excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Sue Bahleda of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Wise and Gracious One, You have endowed each of us with unique gifts, and have called us into specific occupations, relationships and activities using those gifts. Enable these men and women who have been called into leadership, and all those who support them, to use their gifts faithfully to do the work before them.
