Senator McGuire was absent. The seat from District B was vacant. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell of the Gospel Outreach Christian Center. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. "My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us." (Psalm 62:5-8) Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you that you are our refuge and we can come to you with our concerns. I bring before you our senators this day and I would ask that you meet each one of them in their individual needs.
