Representative Ramras had been excused from a call of the House today. Representative Gara was absent and his presence was noted later. Representative Johansen moved and asked unanimous consent that Representatives Gardner and Neuman be excused from a call of the House today. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Saralyn Tabachnick of Congregation Sukkat Shalom. Representative P. Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. Senator Begich delivered his address, and it is published in House and Senate Joint Journal Supplement No. 15. A question and answer period followed the conclusion of the Senator's speech. Senator Begich received a standing ovation and was escorted from the Chamber by Representative N. Foster and Senator Paskvan.
