Senator Therriault was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Cowdery, Kookesh were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator McGuire. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Respecting the faiths of all the members here today, we pray to you dear Lord that you watch over all of us as we continue this deliberative process in which the citizens of Alaska have invested so much trust in us to pursue. There are difficult moments, moments when we want to lose our temper and run the other way; but what we're asking is that you continue to watch over us. Invest us with that strength that so many of us derive from you every day. Please bless our families at home who are anxiously awaiting our arrival; give them faith in your guidance to see us through. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
