Pursuant to adjournment the House was called to order by Speaker                                                                
Harris at 10:04 a.m.                                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
Roll call showed 39 members present.  Representative Roses had been                                                             
excused from a call of the House today.                                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
                                                                                                                                
The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, the Reverend Bob                                                                    
Stevens of St. Brendan's Episcopal Church.  Representative Dahlstrom                                                            
moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on                                                              
the journal.  There being no objection, it was so ordered.                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
    In deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all persons here,                                                           
   I invite you into a time of prayer and reflection.  Let us pray.                                                            
                                                                                                                                
    God our Creator, you have given us this land we call home as                                                                
    a gift; help us to use it wisely.  You have given us friends and                                                            
    neighbors to represent; help us to represent them fairly.  You                                                              
    have given us family to love and care for; help us to love them                                                             
    fully.  But most of all you have given your spirit to us; help us                                                           
    to love abundantly.  We ask that you help us choose wisely                                                                  
    what we do with all the gifts you have bestowed on us.  And                                                                 
    to remember that today is a gift we will never have again.
