Heavenly Father, as I thank You for this beautiful day I am reminded of Psalm 100: Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Lord, we are reminded by this scripture that we are not owners but rather stewards of all that has been entrusted to us. 2006-04-03 Senate Journal Page 2664 Therefore we ask for Godly wisdom, guidance and direction for the Senate today. May righteousness and truth prevail in all matters that the Senate deliberates on today. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen. Senator Huggins led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
