Senator Lincoln was excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Seekins was absent. Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that Senator Seekins be excused from a call of the Senate due to illness. Without objection, Senator Seekins was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Father Anastasius Iwuoha of the Cathedral of the Nativity. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Almighty and ever living God, we begin this final session for the week in Your name and honor. Make today's legislative sitting a time for Senators to solidify the plans and efforts they have built up through the week for the benefit of Your people of Alaska. May they never grow weary, nor leave any stone unturned in moving the state to greater heights by working together to provide adequate employment and affordable healthcare for all the people of this state.
