Representative Joule had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Representative Williams was absent and his presence was noted later. Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that Representative Gruenberg be excused from a call of the House today. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Greg Lindsay of Northern Light United Church. Representative Heinze moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. In deepest respect for the religious tradition of each person present, let us pause for a moment of prayer and reflection. Let us pray. God of love, justice, and peace, teach us how to pray. We know how difficult it can be to be quiet and listen for Your voice. Our minds are filled with to-do lists, our thoughts are focused on last minute details, and our spirits are pushed to the edge with fatigue and busyness. Help us tune out that busyness for one minute to just listen. 2003-04-23 House Journal Page 1064 O God, care for each person here with Your unending love. Bring us into Your presence and touch each one of us at our point of need. Bring healing and comfort and a renewed sense of purpose. Refashion our priorities in order to serve the people with energy, imagination, enthusiasm, and love. Thank You, O God, for the opportunity to serve. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Gatto. CERTIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the 92nd legislative day be approved as certified by the Chief Clerk.
