The question being: "Shall CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 539(L&C) "An Act exempting a person who allows a student of the University of Alaska to gain practical work experience with the person while participating in a practicum from vicarious liability as an employer, and exempting the student participating in a practicum from the Alaska Wage and Hour Act; and providing for an effective date" pass the Senate?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSHB 539(L&C) Third Reading - Final Passage Effective Date YEAS: 14 NAYS: 5 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 1 Yeas: Bunde, Cowdery, Davis, Dyson, Green, Ogan, Olson, Seekins, Stedman, Stevens B, Stevens G, Therriault, Wagoner, Wilken Nays: Ellis, Elton, French, Guess, Lincoln Absent: Hoffman and so, CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 539(L&C) passed the Senate. Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date clause. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Ellis gave notice of reconsideration.
