Senator Lincoln was absent. Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent that Senator Lincoln be excused from a call of the Senate due to illness. Without objection, Senator Lincoln was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Mike Rose of the Juneau Christian Center. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Heavenly Father, thank You for this beautiful morning, and for Your mercies, which are new every morning. Lord, thank You for the privilege we have to live in this great state and a great nation, which declares In God We Trust. Help us to be ever mindful that You are the reason that we have been set apart, and blessed beyond any nation on the face of the earth. Help us to never take for granted the blessings that have been lavished upon us. Grant us wisdom to fulfill our destiny. Lord, grant wisdom, understanding and discernment to each Senator. May our descendants in the future prosper because of the decisions that are being made in the present. While dealing with the present situations we ask for Your guidance and direction to help us prudently plan for the future. Branchflower. According to Skiff Lobaugh, Legislative Affairs Agency Human Resources Manager, Mr. Branchflower has verbally accepted the nomination. This memorandum is notification to both the Senate and House of the committee's nominee. We respectfully request ratification of the nominee. We are also enclosing the resume of the nominee to assist in any consideration.
