Eternal God, what a precious gift is the time You give to us: the years of our life, the days of these sessions, the hours and minutes spent with our families. Thus may we greet each new day with a clear conscience and the sense of satisfaction that comes from time well spent. Amen. Senator Elton led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
