Senators Austerman, Green, Pearce were excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Minister Robert Taverner of the Church of Christ. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Father in Heaven, thank You for this day. Please give each senator wisdom and a heart for Your will. Give them rest over the weekend. Help each senator to make decisions that are within Your will and with the best interest of the people of Alaska. In Jesus' Name, Amen. Senator Kelly led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
