Representatives Berkowitz, Bunde, Croft, Davies, Guess, Masek, Mulder, Rokeberg, and Williams were absent and their presence was noted later. The invocation was offered by Pastor Greg Clark of the Glacier Valley Baptist Church. Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it appears below: Almighty God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we give You praise and adoration this morning because You are a faithful God, keeping Your covenant to a thousand generations of those who love You and keep Your commands. You are gracious and merciful, and we thank You for the privilege of calling upon Your Name. We thank You for the blessing of living in this great nation and all the advantages that we enjoy because of the great men and women who have given themselves to make our country a better place. We thank You for the leaders in our state government, and specifically for those in this Assembly this morning; for the labor that they have put into this year and for the excitement that I know is in their hearts these last few days. They have considered many important issues and will consider many more to come. Therefore, Father, I pray that You would grant them wisdom and insight that they may be 2001-05-07 House Journal Page 1622 able to deal justly and righteously with matters at hand. You have told us in Your Word, that if any man lacks wisdom let him ask of You, and You will give the wisdom that is needed. I pray, O Lord, that You would watch over their families in their absence and that You would give them a joyous reunion as they gather back together; and that You protect them and bless them and fill their lives with Your love. Lord, strengthen them in the midst of difficulty and trials and comfort them with Your presence. May we be able to look back at the close of this day and say that we have done what is good and right in Your sight. We make this prayer, O Lord, in Jesus' Name, our only mediator and redeemer. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Cissna. CERTIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL Representative James moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the 119th legislative day be approved as certified by the Chief Clerk.
