Representatives Chenault, Harris, and Whitaker had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Representative Rokeberg was absent and his presence was noted later. The invocation was offered by the Reverend Ron Covey of the Douglas Community United Methodist Church. Representative Hudson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it appears below: Almighty God, how wonderful are the blessings You have given us: mountains and seas, fields and forests, lakes, streams and sky, and all the creatures, great and small, that dwell therein. Grant that in the responsibilities entrusted to us we may be faithful stewards of all Your blessings. Guide us in our actions, so that generations yet unborn may walk where we have walked, see what we have seen, and experience the awesomeness of Your presence even as we have experienced it. Amen.
