Representatives Cissna, Kohring, Moses, and Williams had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Representative Ogan was absent and his presence was noted later. The invocation was offered by the Reverend Ron Covey of the Douglas Community United Methodist Church. Representative Hudson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it appears below: Creator God, whose love for us knows no bounds, hear the unspoken prayers of our hearts today as we deal with the issues of justice, law, and life. Help us focus on principles rather than personalities, on agreement rather than anger, and on helping rather than hindering.
