Father God, be with us on this Sewards Day, as we celebrate the vision that a few people had for this great land more than a century ago. Make us ever thankful for all its resources and its spectacular beauty. Allow each lawmaker here the ability to see Your handiwork in a fresh way today. Grant to them a clearer understanding of the issues that will require their attention, and bless them in all they accomplish for those they represent. This we ask as Your servants. Amen.
