Senator Pearce was excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Envoy Craig Fanning of The Salvation Army. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. We take a few minutes this morning to remember the families of this weeks accident victims in Juneau. We ask that You be with each member of the families of those who were lost. We ask a special healing from Your hand for those who are in the hospital, to bring them back to their families and back to health. Father, we also come before You this morning to ask You to fill each Senator with Your knowledge and wisdom. Granting to them an understanding of the issues they will undertake today. Annointing them with Your power and care as they meet this day as Your appointed representative. In the Name of God our Heavenly Father. Amen.
