Senators Halford, Miller were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Richard Green, of Glacier Valley Church of God. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Your Word says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. (Psalm 111) We do affirm with the Psalmist that You are the One Who deals in truth and justice, Whose decrees are trustworthy and Whose Name is holy and awe inspiring. We pause this morning to reverence You because of Who You are; and because we need Your wisdom for the complex issues we face. Help us to constantly trust in You for the help and strength we need.
