Full Journal pdf1999-05-20 Senate Journal Page 1719 SENATE JOURNAL ALASKA STATE LEGISLATURE TWENTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE FIRST SPECIAL SESSION Juneau, Alaska First Day Pursuant to the May 19 Proclamation of the Governor calling for the convening of the First Special Session of the Twenty-First Alaska State Legislature, the Senate was called to order by President Pearce at 1:21 p.m. The roll showed eighteen members present. Senators Lincoln and Tim Kelly were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Father Tom Moffatt of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Lord, make us grateful for having a new day and a new beginning and now You have given us grace with one accord to make our common supplications unto You. You did promise that when two or three are gathered together in Your Name that You would grant their request. Fulfill now, O Lord, the askings of Your servants as may be expedient for them, granting us in this world the knowledge of Your truth and in the world to come, life everlasting. For Thou are a good God and lovest mankind and unto Thee we ascribe glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit now and ever unto ages of ages. Amen. Without objection, the Senate recessed at 1:25 p.m. After Recess The Senate reconvened at 3:19 p.m. Enrollment SCR 11 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 11 am Relating to legislative review and disapproval of agreements under the Public Employment Relations Act that exceed net zero cost to the state, was enrolled, signed by the President and Secretary, Speaker and Chief Clerk and the engrossed and enrolled copies transmitted to the Office of the Governor at 1:45 p.m., May 20, 1999. SB 94 HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SPONSOR SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILL NO. 94(FIN) An Act relating to the medical use of marijuana; and providing for an effective date was enrolled, signed by the President and Secretary, Speaker and Chief Clerk and the engrossed and enrolled copies transmitted to the Office of the Governor at 1:45 p.m, May 20, 1999. Adjournment Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that the Senate stand in adjournment until 11:00 a.m., May 21, 1999.
