Senators Ellis, Halford, Tim Kelly, Miller, Taylor were excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Richard Green of the Glacier Valley Church of God. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised. The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted! (Psalm 18:1,2,46) We come to You with praise and thanksgiving for who You are and what You have done for us. We seek Your face for the counsel and the wisdom we need to fulfill Your will in and through our lives. Again we confess our need of You and the provisions of Your grace. Now God of peace, ...make us perfect in every good work to do Your will, working in us that which is well pleasing in Your sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. (Heb 13:20-21) Amen. 945 1999-04-16 Senate Journal Page 0946 Senator Parnell led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
