Without objection, it was so ordered. God of graciousness and beauty, as we pause this morning to come together, we gaze around us at the faces of our friends and colleagues and for the moment we realize that the differences in our opinions grow dim in comparison to those things that unite us; our love of freedom and justice, our desire for peace and health, and the labors of our hands that lead us in those pursuits. When trials and tribulations seem to come our way, help us to turn to one another for the solutions and for the wisdom and consensus to solve the problems we encounter. Bless our words and actions with Your love, and may peace be known in this room and along the various paths we will each walk today. Amen.
