Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President            
Pearce at 11:02 a.m.                                                           
                                                                               
The roll showed nineteen members present. Senator Green was                    
absent.                                                                        
                                                                               
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Cary Henrichsen of              
the Auke Bay Bible Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked                     
unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it             
was so ordered.                                                                
                                                                               
And my God will meet all your needs according to                              
His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (Philippians                              
4:19) May we begin this morning by acknowledging                               
You as the sovereign of the universe, the One who                              
gives graciously and generously life and health,                               
home and family, purpose and opportunity. Grant                                
that we might appreciate Your grace and be                                     
humbled. Grant also that we might appropriate Your                             
grace and be empowered to do Your will. We ask                                 
all this in Jesus name, Amen.
