There being no objection, it appears below: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. (Proverbs 14:34) Heavenly Father, You are the Lord and Your ways are the ways of righteousness. Please keep us in Your way and prevent our feet from slipping from that path. In earnest prayer I lift up my heart to You, for the benefit of these who rule over us. As they govern may they, themselves, be ruled by Your Spirit. May Your wisdom be granted them and may they rule with compassion. I pray that unity will replace division as Your will is made clear to them. You alone know what tomorrow will be, so make us wise enough to seek Your guidance and help in every endeavor. May all that is done 2000-02-25 House Journal Page 2296 and decided in these halls be pleasing to You, oh Lord, for You alone know what is best and no one cares for us as You do. We trust You, Heavenly Father, to anchor us to that Rock who is Your Son, that our state and nation may enjoy that security and prosperity that is found only in You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
