Before the hills in order stood, or earth received its frame,
from everlasting Thou art God to endless years the same.

precious, fragile gift of life; for this day with weighty
responsibilities entrusted to us as elected leaders representing
the people of this great state; and for the opportunities of
working for justice, righteousness, and peace. Give us
keenness of heart and mind that our ears might hear, our eyes
might see, and we might know Thy Spirit and wisdom at work
in our lives and midst. In the name of Him Who came, not
to be served, but to serve, Jesus Christ.
