MESSAGES FROM THE GOVERNOR HB 73 A message dated April 5, 1999, was read stating the Governor has signed the following bill and is transmitting the engrossed and enrolled copies to the Lieutenant Governor's office for permanent filing: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 73(FIN) "An Act relating to commercial vehicle registration fees and taxes; relating to determining the taxable location of a vehicle for purposes of municipal registration taxes; and providing for an effective date." Chapter No. 5, SLA 1999 Effective Date: April 6, 1999 MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE HJR 28 A message dated April 1, 1999, was read stating the Senate has passed: 1999-04-06 House Journal Page 0660 HJR 28 CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 28(RES) Requesting that the National Marine Fisheries Service and the United States Congress act immediately to reverse the decline of the Cook Inlet beluga whale population and to regulate the harvest of the beluga whales in Cook Inlet until the beluga whale population has recovered. CSHJR 28(RES) was referred to the Chief Clerk for enrollment. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES HB 3 The Finance Committee has considered: HOUSE BILL NO. 3 "An Act relating to controlled substances and to the possession and distribution of certain chemicals." and recommends it be replaced with: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 3(JUD) "An Act relating to controlled substances and to the possession of certain chemicals."
