Pursuant to adjournment, the House was called to order by Speaker              
Porter at 10:05 a.m.                                                           
                                                                               
                                                                               
Roll call showed 33 members present.  Representatives Brice and Kott           
had been previously excused from a call of the House today.                    
Representatives Mulder, Rokeberg and Therriault were absent and their          
presence was noted later.                                                      
                                                                               
Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that                    
Representative Kerttula be excused from a call of the House from               
10:00 a.m. to noon today and that Representative Moses' previous               
excuse (page 339) be extended through today.  There being no                   
objection, it was so ordered.                                                  
                                                                               
The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Leigh Anne Corn of the             
Juneau Baha'i Community.  Representative Green moved and asked                 
unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal.  There

Address by the Honorable Warren Matthews, Chief Justice of the
