Power can be a gift from God to be used for the betterment of our state and its people. It can be a blessing or a curse. Help us, in our use of power, to look behind each decision to the people affected and how it will impact them. Help us to have a vision for the people of Alaska that compliments the importance God places on each person. Inequality is painfully evident in our world. Help us in our financial, racial, cultural, emotional, physical, psychological and situational diversities to be sensitive to circumstances different from our own. Help us in our use of power, to not only seek out the like minded, but also those whose views differ from our own. Sensitize us to diversity and focus our use of power to accomplish the greatest good. 3429 1998-04-22 Senate Journal Page 3430 May the decisions made here take into consideration all Gods people.
