In deepest respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I invite you into a time of prayer and reflection. Let us pray: O God, sometimes it seems theres just too much; too much violence, too much fear, too much greed and selfishness, too much of broken dreams and promises. Sometimes the very air we breathe is filled with threats and demands to the point there is nothing left to take in. Or is it really too little; too little compassion, too little courage, too little sacrifice, too little laughter? 2343 1998-01-29 Senate Journal Page 2344 O God, make our lives into the nourishment we need for these starved times.
