"Our Heavenly Father,

Once again we pause to acknowledge that You are God,
Almighty God. And, at the same time we acknowledge that
although we are created in Your image, even on a good day,
we are anything but almighty. We readily admit our need for
wisdom, understanding and direction and we look to You with
expectant hearts for those vital things.

As we stand together before You today, Lord, it is with the
realization that for all of our education, degrees and
cumulative years of experience, not one among us knows what
the future holds. None among us can know for certain the
price of oil tomorrow or whether the salmon will return in
abundance and on schedule for harvest this summer. But, we
do know You, Lord, and we are grateful that if we will but
ask, You will direct our steps. Amen."
