There being no objection, it appears below: Dear God, Yesterday, we were reminded of the service of previous governors as several were with us in the gallery. We thank You for their work of the past and present and may this be a reminder that what we do today will have lasting effects upon the future. 1997-02-27 House Journal Page 0498 Guide the House in their work and deliberations this day. When energy seems to be exhausted because of the long hours of study, committee work and debate, give renewed strength and courage. When nerve endings seem to be dangling, bring healing even in the midst of the most sensitive issues. As we awakened to this new day we were reminded of the seasons of the year. The snow was gently falling, yet we know that spring is quickly approaching and soon summer will be upon us. May the seasons of the year remind us of life. Even in the midst of the winter struggles of our lives new life will break forth and the sun will shine bringing warmth to our spirits. In the seasons of fall there is hope for spring. May we always look for the hope that comes from the undergirding of Your strength in our lives. Again, we thank You for the work that lies before this Body and the commitment of those elected by the people of this great land. Grant wisdom in the tough decision before the House and the weeks of hard work that lie ahead. This day may each of us be reminded of the prayer of serenity. 'God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.' This prayer we offer to the one who created each of us unique and special. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Kookesh. 1997-02-27 House Journal Page 0499 MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE HB 41 A message dated February 26, 1997, was read stating the Senate has passed: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 41(L&C) An Act relating to impairment rating guides used in evaluation of certain workers' compensation claims.
