Heavenly Father:

Thank You for the blessing it has been to pray with and for
these forty Representatives for this past week. I ask You
again to direct them and grant them the wisdom they need to
be the leaders they have been chosen to be.

Thank You also, Lord, for the example of Jesus Christ, who,
in His last night together with His disciples, took a basin of
water...a towel...and redefined greatness by washing their feet.
That act, and His words that 'the greatest among you is the
servant of all,' painted a powerful picture of what leadership
is really all about.

Our prayer today is that You would help each one of us to be
men and women who lead by example as genuine 'servant
leaders' of the people of Alaska.

Amen.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Foster.

the Reserve affords the opportunity to demonstrate that oil
exploration and production can be done in an environmentally
