Senators Adams, Donley, Duncan, Ellis, Hoffman, Lincoln, Salo, Zharoff were absent. Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that he be excused from a call of the Senate from 1:33 p.m., May 14 to 1:30 p.m. May 15. Without objection, Senator Taylor was excused. A second roll was taken showing eighteen members present. Senator Taylor was excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Sharp was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Miller. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Lord, grant us the serenity to accept those things we cannot change, the courage to change those things that we can and the wisdom to know the difference. In Jesus' name, Amen. Senator Miller led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. CERTIFICATION Senator Halford moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the sixth legislative day of the First Special Session of the Nineteenth State Legislature be approved as certified by the Secretary.
