Thank You for the privilege of living in this great nation. We give You praise for the grace and abundant provision that You have entrusted to us. We pray that You will help us as stewards of all that You have given us to properly manage and develop all the resources that You have supplied. Give us wisdom in all decisions that are to be made today. Thank You for the promise and admonition found in Your word: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5, 6) Lord, help us to remember that while we can count the seeds in an apple, You can count the apples in a seed. Help us to rely more completely on You. Lord, we pray that Your presence, Your wisdom and Your grace will be evident in this place today. In Jesus' name, Amen. 2483 1996-02-21 Senate Journal Page 2484 Senator Lincoln led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance.
