Dear Lord, On this cold and clear morning here in Southeast, we thank You for affording us the privilege of living in Alaska. This land is without parallel. We thank You that we are here. Lord, many come into this chamber, not just with the great public concerns of budgets and resource management and all on their minds, there are also the private concerns of children, parents and spouses; matters related to home and health; hopes and fears no one else may be aware of. While these sons and daughters of Yours deal with matters of public interest, we pray that You would also grant them the grace and resources to attend, even to the most private and personal of matters. In Your name we ask these things. Amen. Senator Salo led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. 2165 1996-01-18 Senate Journal Page 2166 CERTIFICATION Senator Halford moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the tenth legislative day and House and Senate Joint Journal Supplement No. 16 be certified by the Secretary.
