O Lord, our God, we pray today with a mixture of thoughts and feelings. We have heavy hearts for those in our land who lost loved ones to assassins. We pray that You will grant to each of them a great measure of Your mercy and healing love. We pray with wonder at the enormity of the task that lies before us in our nation. Help all who are leaders to serve with compassion for all who are suffering, inspire us that we may lead with a renewed sense of hope for our future generations, and fill us with passion for our mission.
