Well, God, here we are again near the end of another week of the customary frustrations and joys, frenzy and accomplishments of a legislative session. For progress, let there be thanks. For the many tough issues still ahead, grant strength, conscientiousness and discernment of the common needs of all Alaskans. As for the things left undone which we or somebody else thought we ought to have done, let us find some consolation in the wise words of a desert hermit: "It is better to be blamed for frequent omissions than for complete neglect." Amen. Senator Sharp led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. 467 1995-03-03 Senate Journal Page 0468 CERTIFICATION Senator Halford moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the forty-sixth legislative day be approved as certified by the Secretary.
