Senators Hoffman, Lincoln, Miller were excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Ellis was excused from a call of the Senate until plane time. Senator Adams was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Pat Brayton of the Valley Chapel. Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Heavenly Father, I earnestly pray for these men and women who represent the people of Alaska in this chamber. Please bless them in their service here, and in their personal lives. May they and their families receive goodness from Your hand. I believe You govern over the affairs of men through the people that You choose to be our leaders.
