The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 17 be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: SCS CSHB 137(FIN) am S Second Reading Amendment No. 17 YEAS: 12 NAYS: 6 EXCUSED: 2 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Frank, Green, Halford, Kelly, Leman, Miller, Pearce, Phillips, Rieger, Sharp, Taylor, Torgerson Nays: Adams, Donley, Duncan, Ellis, Hoffman, Salo Excused: Lincoln, Zharoff and so, Amendment No. 17 was adopted. Senator Kelly moved that the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 18. Senator Adams objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, the bill was returned to second reading. Senators Kelly, Sharp, Frank, Miller, Green, Halford, Leman, Pearce, Phillips, Rieger, Torgerson, Taylor offered Amendment No. 18 : Page 8, after line 13: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 49. The unexpended and unobligated balance, not to exceed $50,000, of the appropriation made in sec. 42, ch. 3, FSSLA 1994, page 48, line 10, and allocated on line 18 (Legal services - $1,700,000) is reappropriated to the Department of Administration for payment as a grant under AS37.05.315 to the City of Delta Junction for an economic development plan to mitigate the effects of the 1995 Base Realignment and Closure Commission recommendations." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly.
