Representative Kubina had been previously excused from a call of the House today. Representatives Hanley and Martin were absent. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Larry Olson of the Eagle Wings Community Church. Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it appears below: "Dear Lord, On this beautiful day here in Southeast, watch over all who have gathered here to work. May their words be clear, their judgment sound, and their intentions honorable. Grant these representatives the ability to look past minor irritations, petty differences and unintended offenses so that they may get to the core of the issues before them. We pray for those people and those causes we name silently now. Amen."
