From the family circle, to the halls of Washington, income and expense are major considerations. Lord, You have blessed our state with abundant resources. And, the people of this state have elected us to represent their financial interests in this chamber. Those same people expect us to manage their financial interests in such a way, that it does not compromise their moral values. Lord, those people come from different backgrounds, with different interests. We are here this morning as men and women representing all of them. Senator Stevens will be here this morning, to tell us how he is representing them on the national level. 1 1995-02-03 House Journal Page 0216 Help us, Lord, on the state level, to seize the opportunities to make the best of what we have, without losing a sense of responsibility for the values that we hold dear.
