The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Pearce.  Senator               
Adams moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be                     
spread.  Without objection, it was so ordered.                                 
                                                                               
Almighty God, please give to us, and to those who                             
make the laws in our nation, states, cities and                                
towns, the courage, the wisdom and the foresight to                            
provide for the needs of all our people, and to                                
fulfill our obligations in the community.  Give grace

Senator Rieger moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal              
for the one hundred seventeenth legislative day be approved as                 
certified by the Secretary.  Senator Duncan objected.                          
                                                                               
Senator Duncan called the Senate.  President Halford stated the call           
was satisfied.                                                                 
                                                                               
Senator Duncan withdrew his objection.  There being no further

The law enforcement community will report back

1, 1996 effective date of Section 3 of the CCS HB

2,500 or fewer people on July1, 1993, may be equal to                          
or higher than the sales tax imposed on other sales                            
within the municipality but may not be lower than the                          
sales tax imposed on other sales within the municipality;                    
		(3)  sales tax on alcoholic beverage sales

ordinance levy a use tax on the storage, use, or consumption                   
of tangible personal property in the borough. The use tax

provided under AS04.21.010(c), and the use tax shall be                      
levied only on buyers.
