Senators Phillips, Rieger were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend David Carpenter of the Glacier Valley Baptist Church. Senator Salo led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance. CERTIFICATION Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the one hundred sixth legislative day be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered. The presence of Senator Phillips was noted. MESSAGES FROM THE HOUSE SB 57 Message of April 26 was read, stating the House passed and returned: SENATE BILL NO. 57 "An Act relating to employment contributions and to extending the pilot project for the state training and employment program; and providing for an effective date." 1791 1993-04-27 Senate Journal Page 1792 SB 57 SENATE BILL NO. 57 was referred to the Secretary for enrollment. SB 162 Message of April 26 was read, stating the House passed and returned: CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 162(FIN) "An Act relating to the implementation of the federal emergency unemployment compensation program; making changes relating to unemployment compensation under the extended benefits program and the supplemental state benefits program; and providing for an effective date."
