Senator Adams was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Donley, Ellis, Frank, Kelly, Little, Sharp were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Taylor. Senator Duncan moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Senator Duncan called the Senate. The call was satisfied. Without objection, the prayer was spread in the journal: This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. For You, O Lord, have opened the skies to reveal Your glory; You have set the warmth of the sun upon us; You have calmed the wind and stilled the waters, and we rejoice in Your creation, O Lord.
