Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President            
Halford at 11:09 a.m.                                                          
                                                                               
The roll showed sixteen members present.  Senators Miller, Phillips            
and Salo were excused from a call of the Senate.  Senator Jacko was            
absent.                                                                        
                                                                               
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Jon Paden of the Juneau                
Church of Christ.  Senator Lincoln moved and asked unanimous                   
consent that the prayer be spread.  Without objection, it was so               
ordered.

Thank You for life.                                                           
                                                                               
We thank You for the differences in this body.                                
May our various views forge what is but for all                                
Alaskans.
